Spice/K2 at root of recent Oakland County deaths

At the Tucker Cipriano-Mitchell Young preliminary exam Wednesday, witness Ian Zinderman said “Spice” was on the mind of the accused murderer Tucker Cipriano before he and Young allegedly beat Tucker’s father Robert Cipriano to death with a baseball bat in Farmington Hills April 16.
“Tucker wanted me to get Spice,” Zinderman said. “They would roll it up into joints. Tucker was talking of getting money out of his dad’s wallet to get the Spice.”
After breaking into the Cipriano family home the first time, Zinderman said the trio drove to a gas station where Cipriano bought Spice and smoked it. Zinderman also stated when talk later turned to killing the entire Cipriano family, Tucker smoked more Spice to dispel “second thoughts.”
Spice — the mixture of chemicals and plant material that’s openly sold in area tobacco shops and gas stations — may have also played a role in the Jonathan Hoffman case in West Bloomfield where his grandmother Sandra Layne is accused of shooting the 17-year-old to death on May 18. Authorities say abuse of the drug has exploded just this past year.

It makes you hallucinate and become agitated and aggressive. And for several months, it has been trickling into Hamilton.
Bath salts are a designer drug that has nothing to do with soaking in a tub. It’s a stimulant and hallucinogenic drug mixture popular in the United Kingdom and the United States that’s making its way into Canada.
Users say it is like a mix of cocaine and amphetamine, producing euphoric highs. But it can turn bad very easily, including allegedly fuelling a disturbing attack in Miami this week where one man ate another man’s face.
The powerful synthetic drug can be snorted, smoked or injected. It’s cheap and easily found online, selling under a variety of brand names, including Vanilla Sky, Purple Wave, Meow Meow and Hurricane Charlie.
Health Canada is aware and concerned about bath salts, said spokesperson Gary Holub.
Two of the components of the drug – mephedrone and methylone – are amphetamine, and therefore already illegal in Canada. Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV) is not listed in the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Miami face chewing attack: Witness describes naked man who attacked, chewed man’s face

A witness says a naked man chewing on the face of another naked man on a downtown highway ramp kept eating and growled at a police officer who tried to make him stop.

Larry Vega told WSVN-TV in Miami that he was riding his bicycle Saturday afternoon off the MacArthur Causeway into downtown Miami when he saw the savage attack on the bridge’s off-ramp. The causeway connects downtown Miami with Miami Beach.

“The guy was, like, tearing him to pieces with his mouth, so I told him, `Get off!’” Vega said. “The guy just kept eating the other guy away, like, ripping his skin.”

Vega flagged down a Miami police officer, who he said repeatedly ordered the attacker to get off the victim. The attacker just picked his head up and growled at the officer, Vega said.

As the attack continued, Vega said the officer shot the attacker, who continued chewing the victim’s face. The officer fired again, killing the attacker.

Mexican Cartel Declares War on Cheetos

Mexican drug cartels are not strictly drug cartels. One of their fastest-growing markets is extortion of private citizens and businesses. Don’t pay, and you can be threatened — or worse. But largely, the cartels target small businesses and individuals, and stay away from the larger industries. Now several arson attacks over the weekend against a Mexican snack chip subsidiary might be the first time the cartels have targeted a multinational corporation.

That corporation would be PepsiCo. According to press reports, masked men attacked five warehouses and vehicle lots on Friday and Saturday nights belonging to the U.S. snack and soft drink giant. More specifically, PepsiCo’s Mexican subsidiary: Sabritas. Dozens of yellow delivery trucks — which transport Sabritas chips and Fritos, Cheetos and Ruffles (among other brands) for the Mexican market — were burned. The good news: No one was injured or killed. At least one member of the Knights Templar cartel was reportedly arrested. Video has also emerged of firefighters battling the blazing trucks and the European Pressphoto Agency released images of Sabritas’ smiley-face mascot illuminated by the flames.

“What we cannot allow is for this kind of isolated case to become generalized,” Gerardo Gutierrez, president of Mexico’s Business Coordinating Council, told the Associated Press. “The authorities have to take forceful action.”

FBI: Motorcycle Gang Trademarked Logo to Keep Narcs at Bay

We’ve always considered trademarking as a way to protect a company’s intellectual property and to aid consumers in identifying trusted products and services.

But on Tuesday, we stumbled on a novel use of intellectual-property law put into play by an alleged organized crime syndicate founded in Southern California.

The Vagos Motocrycle Club, which the Federal Bureau of Investigation has declared an outlaw motorcycle gang, has trademarked its jacket patch, replete with the trademark registration symbol, “in an effort to prevent law enforcement agencies from inserting undercover officers into their organization,” according to an FBI memo that surfaced on Tuesday.

The Hidden Role Of Drug Trafficking In The Secret Service Prostitution Scandal

Eleven Secret Service agents have been placed on leave for bringing up to 21 prostitutes to their hotel in Cartagena, Colombia, during a Presidential visit last week. Much criticism has focused on the possible threats to national security this posed — Sen. Susan Collins asked if the women could have been linked to terrorism. So far, there’s no evidence of that — but it’s not the only link the administration has to worry about. Many prostitutes in Colombia are victims of sex trafficking, often by former leaders of drug cartels.

Sex trafficking became common in Colombia after the collapse of the cartels in the late Nineties, according to Teresa Ulloa Ziaurriz, the Coaltion Against Trafficking in Women’s regional director for Latin America, when former drug traffickers turned to human trafficking instead. Today, says Ulloa Ziaurriz, there’s a lot of sex tourism in Cartagena and a few other Colombian cities, organized “by former members of the drug cartels that use their criminal structure to control the trafficking of women and girls.”

#OpCannabis

Hello Citizens of the World! We are Anonymous.

Many of you know that April 20th is a day marked by the consumption of Marijuana by people of all walks of life, all over the globe. What you may not know is the facts when it comes to Cannabis use.

It is common knowledge that this substance is significantly less harmful than alcohol or nicotine, two drugs widely deemed acceptable by society. (http://yfrog.com/nvjrgg)

Regardless of this, the U.S. Government even goes so far to claim that Cannabis has “no accepted medical value”, while many studies show that it impedes/prevents the growth of Cancer cells in humans. (http://yfrog.com/h6vtmttj)

According to them, Cocaine is a less dangerous drug than Cannabis. (http://yfrog.com/mmsoridj)

Aside from depriving the proletariat from the benefits of Cannabis, the laws currently in place promote organized crime + the black market, much like the Prohibition of Alcohol in the 1920s (http://yfrog.com/gz6nzktj)

This plant’s illegality has resulted in a huge increase in the incarceration rate due to the influx of innocent weedsmokers being put behind bars. (http://yfrog.com/oc5xqsvj)

Of course, the private prison industry isn’t the only entity profiting off the Prohibition of Pot. Many pharmaceutical companies would be left without customers if citizens were allowed to cultivate their own cannabis plants. (http://yfrog.com/od5noigj)

For the aforementioned reasons and more, #Anonymous calls for the cooperation of the American Occupation in the fight for legalization legislation. In solidarity with the overall interests of 99%, we ask that each chapter of #Occupy highlight the Marijuana Issue on the day of April 20th, 2012.

Together, we will give them a 4/20 they will never forget!

WE ARE ANONYMOUS.
WE ARE LEGION for legalization!
WE DO NOT FORGIVE the crimes of the War on Drugs.
WE DO NOT FORGET our brothers + sisters locked up because of it.
EXPECT US.

Obama Open to a Drug Debate, but Opposes Legalization

President Barack Obama replied Saturday to calls from Latin America to consider legalizing drugs, saying it is legitimate to debate the matter, but that he remains opposed.

Mr. Obama, attending the Summit of the Americas, a gathering of hemispheric heads of state, was careful not to dismiss the idea as out of hand and made a point of reiterating a pledge to treat the U.S.’s hemispheric neighbors as equal partners.

“It is entirely legitimate to have a conversation about whether the laws in place are ones that are doing more harm than good in certain places,” he said during a morning panel discussion at a CEO summit held in conjunction with the larger gathering.

Rick Scott Vetoes Bill Sending Non-Violent Drug Offenders To Rehab After Serving Half Sentence In Jail

Yep. This guy looks totally sane.

Florida Governor Rick Scott on Friday vetoed a widely popular bill that would send certain non-violent drug addicts to treatment after serving half their sentences.

“He said it was a ‘public safety’ issue. No it’s not,” said bill sponsor Sen. Ellyn Bogdanoff (R-Fort Lauderdale) according to the Miami Herald. “These are non-violent drug offenders.”

The bill, a rare common sense favorite during a legislative season that saw Scott approve dying animals and Jay-Z lyrics debated on the House floor, was opposed by only four state lawmakers.

Sold on Bogdanoff’s argument that the state would save money by getting potential re-offenders the help they need for addiction, lawmakers including typically tough-on-crime conservatives overwhelmingly sped the bill through the House 112-4 and the Senate 40-0.

Man Dies After Eating Cocaine From His Brother’s Butt

Wayne Mitchell, 20, was instructed by his 23-year-old brother Deangelo Mitchell to swallow the ounce of cocaine in order to hide evidence of possession and died as a result.

It’s a story that’s hard to make up.

Two brothers were being brought into custody inside of a cop car when Deangelo Mitchell told his brother Wayne Mitchell to eat the cocaine in his butt to avoid further prosecution.
