Bill Maher Is Right About The Occupy Movement.

Hey. Occupiers. Pay attention before you loose all your momentum. I know there’s a lot of apprehension about putting candidates in office, but it’s clear that even the politicians who claim to be down with Occupy are still just politicians and are only as loyal as long as an idea, position or movement stays popular. Fair weather fans, so to speak. As Bill said “we need some intractable far left folks who will peruse an agenda to bring the country back to the left. Just in terms of perception the left is getting killed these days because they don’t have the propaganda juggernaut that the right has (Fox News, talk radio, newspapers, etc etc). We can’t wait for things to reflect our views: culture, politicians, media. The only logical answer is to be active in these areas. It’s time to go legit. Raise some money, start canvasing, elect good people. Parks ain’t cuttin’ it.

Foundation objects to auction of purported vial of Reagan’s blood

Ronald Reagan’s foundation expressed outrage on Monday at a British company’s auction of what it says is a vial of the late U.S. president’s blood taken at the hospital where he was treated after a 1981 assassination attempt.

PFC Auctions, a company based in Guernsey in the United Kingdom, announced on Sunday that it would sell the vial of blood in an online auction set to end on Thursday.

The vial was taken at George Washington University Hospital on March 30, 1981, after Reagan was wounded by John Hinckley Jr. in Washington, D.C., PFC Auctions said on its website. It is said to have come from a person whose late mother had worked at a medical lab.

“If indeed this story is true, it’s a craven act and we will use every legal means to stop its sale or purchase,” John Heubusch, executive director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, said in a statement.

The website for PFC Auctions said the latest online bid for the vial stood at 6,270 British pounds. A PFC Auctions representative could not be reached for comment.

The website for PFC Auctions showed a picture of the blood-filled vial with a label stuck to it showing the president’s name.

Obama Open to a Drug Debate, but Opposes Legalization

President Barack Obama replied Saturday to calls from Latin America to consider legalizing drugs, saying it is legitimate to debate the matter, but that he remains opposed.

Mr. Obama, attending the Summit of the Americas, a gathering of hemispheric heads of state, was careful not to dismiss the idea as out of hand and made a point of reiterating a pledge to treat the U.S.’s hemispheric neighbors as equal partners.

“It is entirely legitimate to have a conversation about whether the laws in place are ones that are doing more harm than good in certain places,” he said during a morning panel discussion at a CEO summit held in conjunction with the larger gathering.

The 32-year-old was struck several times in the head, Fatima Al Himidi said, and there was a “letter next to her head saying, ‘Go back to your country, you terrorist.’”

The Connecticut State Senate is considering a bill that would add taxes to digital goods. The “stated purpose of the bill, is “to include digital movies, books, music, ringtones, audio and video works and similar downloadable products as subject to the sales and use tax.” If passed, the bill would take effect July 1, 2012, and would apply to sales occurring on or after that date.

Say What Now of the Day: On this morning’s Fox and Friends, talk show host Geraldo Rivera blamed Trayvon Martin’s shooting on his attire, saying his hoodie was as much responsible for his death as George Zimmerman was.

“I am urging the parents of black and Latino particularly to not let their children go out wearing hoodies,” Rivera told his unfazed Fox News colleagues.

He went on to claim that the hoodie bears negative connotations that cannot be “rehabilitated.”

“I bet you money,” said Rivera, upping the audacity ante, “[I]f [Martin] didn’t have that hoodie on that nutty neighborhood watch guy wouldn’t have responded in that violent and aggressive way.”

These assholes, they always get away with saying stupid shit………see what I did there?

fuckin’ Goon.
